Any News ?
I sent you (Media Giant) an email just a minute ago.
And I sent Dredd a text a couple of days ago, but no reply.
How is everyone ? 8)

Yes, i received the txt.
It didn't mention any problems.
"I'm in my tent" ... nothing new about that. He'd been in his tent on and off for more than 2 years.
"Helped some friends here today" ...the camping ground, where he had lots of drinking buddies.
"And good [weed]" ...his last email in August said he was off the booze and cigs.. so hard to judge.
"How are you. Do you have an apartment" ...worst timing ever.
I was flat out moving into a place after living in temporary accommodation for 3 months.
There were 6 people to a room in each of 2 rooms.
So 15 people in 1 house (including a guy sleeping in his car) and then 3 or more moved in while
6 of us were moving into a house. I barely had the keys for a day to connect gas and electric.
Then readying for a housewarming party the next day, with everyone from the old house including
the new residents. Between 20 and 25 people. We had noise complaint with people just talking
and laughing in the backyard. Have since found out that the owner lives behind us.
All in all, it was not the right time to invite a brother with alcohol related issues.
Only with hindsight.. John lived for parties. Parties where foreigners outnumber the locals.
This was such a party. If i had known you were depressed, thinking of going to Auckland,
or even the slightest indication that there had been a further break-down with the ex..
..well, yeah, now we'll never know.
(and yes, still waiting for internet connection, so this post went unseen)
John knew that MediaGiant and i are not currently communicating.
A case of telling one's problems in private conversation, with no word getting back to
the one who could possibly help. The fact is that i never knew you were depressed,
because i only ever knew you smiling with a can of Fosters in your hand.
Rest in Peace? Nah.. enjoy your bloody re-incarnation dude. 8)
Meanwhile.. there's 2 more kids (including my own) without a father.
This is a problem dude!
How the hell do i reconcile the 2 ex-wives with similar aged children?!? :P

The news is that you missed a ceremonial Soka Gakkai (Buddhist) memorial service.
You missed your 2 cool kids playing piano to your memory.
Your son played "Let it be" from John Lennon. He played it well but not quite with the grace it required.
Then your daughter played a song i don't know the name of.. and played it perfectly to the occasion.

And yes, it's hard to have 2 young kids myself and not be moved by that.
