It is with great sorrow that I bring you the news that John Darren Baylis (my older brother and know as JDude or Sir Gilligan Horry on the web) took his own life on the 16th of October 2013. In John's second last email to me he told be that he was very depressed over his estrangement from his ex wife and two children and that he didn't want to go on. I wrote back on the 14th of October and told him that it was a passing feeling and that things would get better. I also mentioned that it would ultimately hurt his children and that we all loved him. In his last email to me he said he had booked a flight to Auckland in New Zealand and I took this as a sign that he was improving. Sadly, after arriving in Auckland he decided to take his own life. John had always had a troubled life and his research into the problems of this world such as the Fukushima disaster did not help matters. I am sure he had many positive experiences during his 48 years on this planet and he leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his two children. John was a difficult person to get close to as he was on a very different path than his friends and family but I understood where he was coming from and his sense of humor. Naturally I wish I had done more than mere words could achieve but I had seen him go through periods of depression before and thought he would snap out of it again. He was worried about getting older and having to start again so I pray that his suffering is now over and he is at peace.
