I know they're promoting the Bitcoin market on the GCN network that features Alex Jones and Katherine Albrecht but what worries me is the idea of using a cashless model to fight the introduction of a cashless society.

It may only be as safe as your private key, which may not be that private once they have you in the FEMA camps.

Personally, with all that has been happening lately I can't help but want to join the Freebies (http://www.alsprogrammingresource.com/freebies.html).

Time will tell, thanks for the input.

Been living kinda Freebie for a while. Would suggest holding off until the battery/solar/free energy device arrives.  :-\

As for Bitcoin, i'm only just getting my head around the concept. Just spent a couple of days syncing with it.
BlockSize of 15gig.. and growing pretty quickly. As you say, it's still early days.  ;)

"The [script] design supports a tremendous variety of possible transaction types that I designed years ago.  Escrow transactions,
bonded contracts, third party arbitration, multi-party signature, etc.  If Bitcoin catches on in a big way, these are things
we'll want to explore in the future, but they all had to be designed at the beginning to make sure they would be possible later."
